Sam Basu

CEO & Co-Founder
A graduate of IIIT Hyderabad, Sam went on to become a senior software engineer at Google before leaving in 2023 to become a serial founder. After seeing firsthand how customs brokerages operated, he started Amari in June 2024.

Arushi Vashist

CTO & Co-Founder
A former senior software engineer at LinkedIn, Arushi graduated from IIIT Hyderabad and is the CTO and co-founder of Amari. She leads the technical architecture behind the platform, from ML infrastructure to full-stack AI systems.

Amer Hmaidan

Senior Software Engineer
A founding engineer at Amari, Kevin brings experience from fintech and aerospace, including Man Numeric, a quantitative investment firm, and Astro Digital, a satellite imaging company, where he learned to build systems where precision and reliability aren't optional. He studied at Northeastern and joined Amari early.

Bhuvan Bamba

Senior Staff Software Engineer
Bhuvan brings a remarkable depth of experience, from leading large-scale AI and personalization systems at Google serving hundreds of millions of users, to building real-time data infrastructure at Quanata, to geospatial platform work at Nextdoor. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, with a focus on data privacy for location-based services, has 12 patents and 24 publications to his name. Most recently, Bhuvan spent time exploring the agentic AI landscape, developing hands-on expertise in multi-agent systems and LLM orchestration expertise he's bringing directly to the Amari team!

Hieu Nguyen

Software Engineer
A Georgia Tech graduate in Computer Science with a Master's in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Johns Hopkins, Hieu has built AI-powered back-end systems including LLM pipelines, cloud CAD platforms, and carbon analysis tools used by architects and engineers across the industry. He brings deep full-stack and AI engineering experience to Amari's core platform.

Kevin Schmitt

Software Engineer

Sai Nikhil Damacherla

Software Engineer
A graduate of Arizona State University and AWS Solutions Architect certified, Sai built cloud and automation systems at State Street, one of the world's largest investment banks, before joining Amari. He brings deep infrastructure and DevOps expertise to the engineering team, keeping the platform reliable and scalable as volume grows.

Supraj Bachawala

Software Engineer
A graduate of IIIT Hyderabad with a Master's in Computer Science from UMass, Supraj worked at Salesforce and Google before joining Amari. He brings deep expertise in algorithms, machine learning, and distributed systems to the engineering team, turning research into production at scale.

Natalie Ma

Chief of Staff
Having studied applied math at UC Berkeley graduate, Natalie co-founded and led operations at Buddy AI before joining Amari as Chief of Staff. She brings early-stage operator experience from Autodesk and PlanGrid, and knows firsthand what it takes to build and scale a company from the ground up.

Ben Corbett

Product Manager
An Oxford MBA, Ben has spent his career removing the roadblocks that stand between a great idea and a great product. He's been a Senior Product Manager at Shell and has led product at several startups since. He brings a rare combination of big-company rigor and startup intuition to Amari, where he leads product with the same clarity and precision the platform demands.

Kyle Cassidy

Enterprise Account Executive
A Santa Clara University MBA and San Diego State graduate, Kyle has spent his career in complex interpersonal markets at Motive, OpenGov, KEYENCE, and Paycom. He brings a strong breadth of enterprise sales experience to Amari, where he owns the full sales motion for some of the largest brokerage firms in the country.

Boris Mazin

Account Executive
A Chapman University graduate in Finance, Boris has a strong background in software sales from BrightEdge and Paychex. He's scrappy, relationship-first, and thrives in industries just beginning to adopt new technology, exactly where customs brokerage is right now.

Operations
